Hungry Howie's Pizza has been ranked in the top 10 percent of all franchises nationwide and named a 2012 Military Friendly Franchise by G.I. Jobs magazine.
The Michigan-based pizza company currently has two veteran-owned franchises and honors military veterans all year round by offering service members a $10,000 discount — which is 50 percent — off the first franchise fee, allowing veterans to use their training and operational skills for a new civilian career.
"We have a strong veteran presence at Hungry Howie's Pizza," said Brian Ognian, vice president of franchise development. "Besides our two veteran franchisees, one of our directors is also a veteran of the National Guard. Veterans make excellent franchise owners and we are always looking to add them to our system."
Hungry Howie's Pizza has more than 500 locations in 24 states.
The pizza segment was well represented on G.I. Jobs magazine's list. CiCi's Pizza was also recognized this week.
