Sharing Spree, a daily deals website that donates a portion of every consumer purchase to community organizations, and John's Incredible Pizza Company, are teaming up to offer a deal that will benefit Portland, Ore., area schools.
All day today, Portland residents can purchase a deal on Sharing Spree for $16 that will get them food, drinks, games and rides at John's Incredible Pizza Company – a deal normally valued at up to $70. Buyers can select one of eight Portland-area school foundations to receive 10 percent of Sharing Spree's proceeds from the deal.
"The decrease in funding from the state is forcing Portland area schools to make significant budget cuts," said Megan Sapp, COO of Sharing Spree. "The partnerships we have created with both local schools and merchants are intended to help fill the gap as best as possible."
Also, on June 21 and 22, the same deal will be offered, but will benefit Doernbecher Children's Hospital, which was recently ranked among the best children's hospitals in the country by U.S. News & World Report. Doernbecher offers pediatric treatments to children in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
John's Incredible Pizza Company features a buffet with 20 varieties of pizzas, pastas, soups, desserts, a salad bar and more. People who purchase the deal also will get unlimited beverages, including ICEEs and several varieties of coffee, plus two hours of rides and the latest video games.
John's Incredible Pizza Company has nine locations in California and its newest location in Beaverton, Oregon. Additional locations are currently in development throughout the U.S.
