Rock duo The Black Keys has filed a lawsuit against Pizza Hut for using its songs in commercials without permission.

Bloomberg reports that Pizza Hut and its agency, Interpublic Group of Cos., used The Black Keys' "Gold on the Ceiling" in a Cheesy Bites Pizza commercial without authorization. The suit was filed late last week in a federal court in Los Angeles.

The band also sued Home Depot for the same reason.

Lawyers for The Black Keys said the songs' use was a "brazen and improper effort to capitalize on plaintiffs' hard-earned success."

The band sent both brands cease-and-desist letters in May. The plaintiffs have asked for jury trials.
