Mr. Scrib's Pizza, a Western Michigan establishment for the past 51 years, has expanded beyond the Wolverine State for the first time with a new unit in Phoenix.

According to the Phoenix Business Journal, the chain has plans to open eight to 10 locations in Arizona throughout the next 18 months.

The brand's Facebook page currently lists five store locations in Michigan.

The first Phoenix unit offers only take-out. The second Arizona location is set to open in August and will include seating for about 40 guests.
