Papa Murphy's is continuing its expansion, with newly announced plans to grow in the Southwest Florida market. According to the News-Press, the Vancouver, Wash.-based chain anticipates opening 19 new franchised stores in the area within the next three to five years, with three expected to open in Fort Myers-Lee County by the end of 2012.

There is currently one Papa Murphy's unit open in Naples, Fla..

"We want to keep our brand alive," Mark Levis, director of franchise sales for the eastern region of Papa Murphy's International, told the News-Press. "To put one or three or four stores and then wait a few years, that doesn't really do the brand much good."
