Little Caesars executive Charles P. Jones has died at the age of 82. According to the Detroit Free Press, Jones first owned a Little Caesars store in the Pontiac Township suburb of Detroit in 1967.

He and his wife Lee eventually owned 29 franchises for the company and he served as vice chairman for the company. Jones also held many positions at other Ilitch family companies, including the Detroit Tigers, owned by Mike Ilitch.

"Charlie was a kind, humble man and my good friend," Ilitch told the Free Press. "He made outstanding contributions to our companies and always displayed incredible dedication. He was enthusiastic and operated with the highest level of integrity."

Jones spent most of his life in Detroit and attended Wayne State University.
