After a successful market test, Pizza Patrón announced that it will roll out its new La Choriquezo pizza for a limited time.
Based on a traditional appetizer from Latin American countries, La Choriquezo pizza includes real mozzarella cheese, smoky chorizo sausage and fresh-sliced onions on a base of Pizza Patrón's original spicy ranch sauce. Every La Choriquezo pizza comes with a free side of jalapeños.
"Our La Choriquezo pizza was very successful in our market tests," said Andrew Gamm, Pizza Patrón brand director. "We saw traffic increase as much as 15 percent in our test stores in response to the product."
The La Choriquezo will be offered in all Pizza Patrón locations nationwide from Sept. 1 to Dec. 31 at $7.99 for a large pie. With its Hispanic customer focus in mind, the brand plans to add more Latin flavor options to its future menu mix through toppings and unique limited time product offers.
"As the leading Latino pizza brand, our customers want and expect to find authentic Mexican and Latin American flavors here that they cannot get at traditional pizza outlets," Gamm said. "Unique Latin recipes are among the things we do best and it keeps our customers coming back with frequency."
