For the 4th consecutive year, Happy's Pizza is joining forces with Greater Grace Temple in Detroit for its Happy's Coats for Kids campaign. This year, Detroit Lions' players, Nate Burleson, Lomas Brown and Stephen Tulloch, will host the giveaway on Nov. 17 from 1 to 5 p.m. at New Rogell Golf Course in Detroit.
To kick off the campaign, Burleson and Tulloch will meet and greet fans at the West 7 Mile and Evergreen Happy's Pizza on Nov. 13 at 3 p.m. Vouchers redeemable for coats will be passed out while supplies last. Guardians will be limited to one voucher per child and the child must be present.
With a child present for every voucher requested, parents may also receive vouchers from Nov. 13-16 at Greater Grace Temple at the following Happy's Pizza locations while supplies last: 6 Mile and Schaefer; 7 Mile and Evergreen; 7 Mile and Conant; 7 Mile and Hoover; Telegraph and West Chicago; Telegraph and 10 Mile; Plymouth and Greenfield; Livernois and Intervale; West Grand Boulevard and Woodward; Mt. Elliot and Jefferson; Michigan and Livernois; and Fort Street and Outer Drive.
On Nov. 17 at New Rogell Golf Course, Burleson, Tulloch, Brown and some of their celebrity friends will give coats to children with vouchers from 1 to 3 p.m. From 3 to 5 p.m., children without a voucher will have an opportunity to receive a coat on a first-come-first-serve basis while supplies last. The coats are for children ages 3 to 14 with sizes ranging from 2T to XXLarge. However, sizes are subject to availability.
"This is one of my favorite times of the year. Partnering with Stephen, Nate, Lomas Brown and Greater Grace is amazing," said Happy Asker, founder and CEO of Happy's Pizza. "We love to get involved in the community as much as possible and for us, this is a nice way to kick off the holiday season and help others at the same time."
