Figaro's Italian Pizza Inc. will mark Veteran's Day Nov. 11 with free medium, one-topping pizzas for any current or former member of the U.S. armed forces.
Figaro's CEO Ron Berger said the promotion was the idea of franchise owners and staff who wanted to recognize the commitment of servicemen and women.
The chain is a longtime member of the International Franchise Association's VetFran program, which provides assistance and incentives to help returning veterans to open their own Figaro's restaurant. Figaro's also provides scholarships to returning veterans to further their education, and the company is a supporter of the Help Veteran's Own Franchises Act.
Salem, Ore.-based Figaro's is located in nine U.S. states and three foreign countries.
