Goodfella's Brick Oven Pizza, established in Staten Island in 1992, won first prize in the gourmet category of the International Pizza Expo competition this year. This marks the pizzeria's third international competition win. Scot Cosentino, founder of Goodfella's, set out with the goal of making the best pizza possible. In his first year of business he created the unique gourmet vodka pizza, which won him the honor of being voted "America's Best Pizza." Goodfella's offers classes to train students to master cooking with a brick oven. The company also builds and sells custom brick ovens.
