About seven months after debuting gluten-free offerings in the U.S., Domino's Pizza is bringing them to the United Kingdom.
According to Pizza News UK, Domino's is the first pizza delivery company in that country to feature a gluten-free option.
Domino's Pizza's gluten-free line has been accredited by the national charity for people with celiac disease, Coeliac UK. The new pizza will be available nationwide Nov. 19 for the same price as other pizzas.
The company's process to find a suitable gluten-free supplier has taken about four years.
"It's been a long time coming but we can't wait to officially launch our new gluten-free pizza. We've worked long and hard with Coeliac UK and our new product development team to develop a product which is not only gluten-free but really tastes great too. We hope the product will bring the enjoyment of pizza to a new set of customers who, until now, haven't been able to tuck into a Domino's with their friends and family," said Simon Wallis, Domino's UK sales and marketing manager.
