Famous Famiglia was created by four brothers in New York City and first opened in 1986. After opening more locations throughout the city, critics named the company "New York's Favorite Pizza." Today there are more than 130 locations across the U.S., Mexico, Asia and Europe. Famous Famiglia's footprint is diverse, with locations in shopping centers, airports, casinos, hotels, college campuses, military bases and theme parks. In 2011, the pizza company and Six Flags Entertainment Corporation signed a three-year contract naming Famous Famiglia the theme park's "official pizza." It also has partnerships with the New York Yankees, Madison Square Garden and Hersheypark. Famous Famiglia has a tradition to donate all of the first day's proceeds to a local children's foundation.
