California-based zpizza just opened its fifth Middle East location in Dubai. The Dubai location is operated by 54º East, a food and beverage company based out of the UAE that serves as zpizza's area developer in the region.
54º East, headquartered in Dubai, has brought other American brands, such as Ketchup, to the region. According to the company, it looks for young, fast-paced brands to the market with the objective of setting new trends. Its tagline is "Feeding Your Lifestyle."
"(zpizza has) created the new generation of pizzas with unique ingredients suitable for vegetarians, gluten-free and vegan eaters. As the healthier eating trends continue to progress there have been many copycat brands, but our company wanted to represent the leader and the innovator in the segment, which is zpizza," said Rafia AlMulla of 54º East.
54º East is targeting about 20-plus zpizza units in the UAE, in addition to acquiring further territories.
The Dubai location is approximately 2,000 square feet and is located at Jumeirah Beach Road in Dubai Marina — one of Dubai's busiest neighborhoods. It offers sit-down, carry-out and catering, as well as delivery and online ordering. Dubai Cares, a charitable organization that helps provide quality education to children in need, joined the restaurant in the ceremonial ribbon cutting for its grand opening.
zpizza has more than 100 stores open internationally.
