Louisville, Ky.-based Papa John's has made a donation to the University of Louisville to help offset high ticket prices for the Sugar Bowl BCS game in New Orleans Jan. 2.
Louisville plays the University of Florida in the bowl game.
According to WDRB, tickets for the 600 level were priced at $135. Because of Papa John's donation, they are now on sale for $65.
Additionally, according to CBS Sports, the pizza chain has partnered with Louisville area military and charitable organizations to allow fans to purchase the discounted tickets for a soldier or child in New Orleans. These tickets are tax deductible.
The University of Louisville said this partnership will help the school sell its allotment of tickets, and that more fans will be on hand to cheer on the Cardinals.
