Flippers Pizzeria held a grand opening celebration Dec. 21 for the opening of its newest restaurant, located in St. Petersburg, Fla. This marks the brand's 13th unit in the Sunshine State.
Earlier this year, the Orlando, Fla.-based chain signed a multiunit operating agreement with Gerard and Bonnie Pickhardt to grow in the Tampa, Fla., market. The Pickhardts are principals at Watch These Franchises Grow. The partnership is expected to yield 16 new Flippers Pizzeria franchise locations throughout the next eight years, concentrated in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.
The couple's second franchise location will in the spring in the Carrollwood area of Tampa.
The chain also marked the conclusion of its 25th year in Central Florida. Throughout the year, units have been highlighting the brand's history and updating their menus and restaurants.
Most recently, Flippers Pizzeria released an HD video on its YouTube channel showcasing its restaurants, food, service, community and customer events.
