Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers has made its debut in San Antonio, Texas, at 115 North Loop 1604 East, in the Stone Oak area.
The owners of this location are Ali and Setareh Danesh.
"After living in Middle Tennessee for years, we were familiar with the incredible and unique brand. Wanting to find the right fit, the beautiful city of San Antonio felt perfect. The city is full of so much unique art, history and incredible people," Ali said.
Local San Antonio artist Robert Tatum has spent weeks covering the walls inside and out with his creations. He developed a space cowboy theme under a full moon. Also featured is a take on the Texas Lone Star, designed by Carl Janes and fabricated by Shawn Oldham and Sean Pace. The "Soul Star" is made from bullets, barbed wire, horse shoes, spurs, the soles of cowboy boots and a large diamond.
West Palm Beach, Fla., opening
Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers will also open in West Palm Beach, Fla., on Jan. 14, at 700 S. Rosemary Ave., Suite 100, in the City Place Shopping and Entertainment Plaza.
Owners of this unit are Mark and Karen Clark.
"City Place in West Palm Beach provides all of the makings for a perfect Mellow Mushroom experience: from the imaginative architecture and artwork to the entertaining atmosphere for an unforgettable dining experience, Mellow Mushroom could not be in a better niche," Karen said.
The psychedelic-adventure-themed artwork was created by artist Patch Whisky. It includes an underwater vehicle that is part yellow submarine and part Captain Nemo's Nautilus and suggests portals to other worlds.
This location also includs music on select evenings, sporting events on several 50-inch televisions and a full service bar.
