Mount Clemens, Mich.-based Sam's Sorrento Pizza is raising money to support veterans through the sale of "The General," an extra large pizza that was introduced in 2012.

The General is a 16-inch pizza with cheese and up to three toppings. It is available for $14.99.

The General, along with special "Support Our Troops" pizza boxes, were created specifically for Sam's Sorrento's fundraising efforts for the Veterans Support Center.

In 2011, the 12-unit chain raised $15,000 for the cause.
