While Pizza Hut fans scramble to get their "Hut Hut Hut" commercials uploaded before the Super Bowl, the chain is hinting at its next "Big" innovation. That innovation will make its debut from 4-7 p.m. Feb. 5. when Pizza Hut offers a free sample of the secret item to fans as a way to thank them.
The promotion is part of Pizza Hut's "Make It Great" campaign.
"We've had so much fun celebrating all the Huts with our fans this year that this was the best way we could say thank you for such a great season," said Kurt Kane, chief marketing officer, Pizza Hut. "Anyone can give away a pizza, but not just anyone can offer up a new product that's a true category breakthrough. We are the recognized leaders in innovation and this product is definitely going to be a crowd pleaser."
To redeem the new item, customers simply need to show up at a carryout or dine-in location from 4-7 p.m. on Feb. 5. No registration or membership is required.
Pizza Hut will unveil the new innovation during the official CBS pre-game show on Feb. 3.
"This giveaway will be one of the largest in Pizza Hut history," Kane added. "It's our 'thank you' to our customers who always make the right Hut call on game day and every day because anything less than great just doesn't cut it."
Also, for the first time ever, Pizza Hut is offering its value box duo for the Super Bowl. This includes the Big Dinner Box (two medium rectangular one-topping pizzas, five breadsticks and the choice of wings, Stuffed Pizza Rollers or Tuscani Pasta all in one box for $19.99) and $10 Dinner Box (medium one-topping rectangular pan pizza, five breadsticks with marinara sauce and 10 cinnamon sticks with a sweet icing cup in one box for $10). To complement this deal Pizza Hut has extended its $10 Any deal.
