Little Caesars outlined a new franchise growth plan that entails small suburban markets, as well as rural communities.

According to Wicked Local, those targeted markets include Danvers, Mass., and Essex County, Mass.

The company said in a release that smaller towns are poised for growth, representing opportunities for franchisees who want to be associated with a national brand and a simple business model.

"As we implement our strategic plan focused on adding new franchise units into previously untapped markets, we anticipate that consumers and franchise investors alike will be eager to connect with Little Caesars globally recognized brand name," said Bob Mazziotti, vice president of franchise development for Little Caesars.

The strategy includes strip mall and in-line shopping center locations, as well as nontraditional venues such as convenience stores, college campuses and military bases.
