Unique Pizza and Subs today announced it has appointed Vaughan Lazar, co-founder and CEO of Pizza Fusion Holdings, to its board of directors.
On Aug. 29, 2012, the company announced it had signed a definitive agreement to acquire privately held Pizza Fusion Holdings, with closing expected in early 2013.
Lazar co-founded Pizza Fusion Holdings in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., in 2006. Pizza Fusion is an eco-friendly provider of handcrafted, organic and all natural pizzas and features an organic restaurant certification.
"Vaughan is a savvy marketing professional and innovative entrepreneur with a strong track record of success. We are delighted to have his knowledge and experience in marketing and eco-friendly business practices on our board, as we work to aggressively expand the Pizza Fusion brand and global footprint," said James Vowler, Unique Pizza and Subs president, CEO and chairman.
