Pizza Inn Q2 same-store sales fall 4.5 percent

Pizza Inn Holdings announced its second quarter results this week, including a 4.5-percent drop in domestic franchised same-store sales.

The company attributed its revenue decrease to lower food and supply sales, as well as costs related to the continued development of its Pie Five Pizza Co. concept.

According to the Dallas News, Pizza Inn posted a net loss of $120,000, or 1 cent per share, versus a profit of $56,000, or 1 cent per share, the prior year.

Food and supply sales were down 5.4 percent due to a decrease in restaurants.
