Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Pizza Fusion specializes in gourmet and organic food, using all natural and free-range chicken for pizza and salads, and organic pepperoni. It also offers an organic white crust, a multigrain crust and a gluten-free crust as well as vegan options. Pizza Fusion also operates green by using company-owned hybrid cars to deliver food. Unique Pizza and Subs recently signed a letter of intent to buy Pizza Fusion. President and CEO of Unique Pizza and Subs, James Vowler, admitted that the two company's concepts and menu items are very different. Vaughan Lazar, founder and CEO of Pizza Fusion, said he looks forward to working with him to see how much the company will grow. Since the acquisition, Pizza Fusion has signed multiple franchising deals, including in the Middle East.
