Snagajob, an hourly employment network for job seekers and employers, has named Peter Harrison as its new CEO, succeeding founder Shawn Boyer.
Harrison is the former CEO at McLean, Va.-based GlobalLogic, a 6,000-employee global services company.
Boyer, who founded Snagajob in 2000 in Richmond, Va., will move to the role of chairman of the board, where he will focus on identifying and growing future initiatives, building external partner relationships and building awareness of Snagajob's mission.
"After almost 13 years of guiding Snagajob on a day-to-day basis and assembling an amazing group of talented and committed Snaggers, I believe strongly that the time is right for me to hand over the CEO role to someone who has a proven track record of taking companies to the next level," Boyer said. "We continue to grow revenue rapidly, we are profitable, and it's increasingly clear that we have an even bigger opportunity in front of us."
