H.E.L.P., a grant program created by the shareholders and franchisees of Figaro's Italian Pizza, has awarded 40 grants totaling more than $9,300 as part of its latest fundraising round which ended Feb. 15.
This brings the total amount of grants to 225 totaling more than $40,400 since the charity program began in October 2010.
Through its grant program, H.E.L.P. provides grants to U.S. based non-profit tax exempt schools and other entities to support educational programs. H.E.L.P. was born out of the desire of the shareholders and franchisees of Figaro's Italian Pizza to make an impact on programs particularly affected by the recession.
H.E.L.P. (Helping Education with Love and Pizza), the Charity has obtained 501c3 status
Contributions have gone toward programs such as:
- Online math program materials
- Track equipment
- Bike storage shelter
- Interactive notebooks for Language Arts and Science
- Binders
- Life Skills reward system
- Computer earphones
- Gardening equipment for Girl Scout service project
- Science video library
- Physical Education equipment and more
