PizzaRev, an artisan pizza concept based in Los Angeles, today announced that Buffalo Wild Wings has taken a minority position in its new concept. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"The PizzaRev team is thrilled to have Buffalo Wild Wings as an investor in our business, given its strong track record and stellar reputation within the industry," said PizzaRev co-CEO Rodney Eckerman.
Irv Zuckerman, co-CEO, added that the new relationship is expected to have an immediate impact on the acceleration of PizzaRev's growth and will also help the brand establish a leadership position.
"Over the past year, Buffalo Wild Wings has been investigating emerging restaurant concepts with high growth potential as we continue to build our dynamic company," said Kathy Benning, Buffalo Wild Wings executive vice president of global marketing, brand and business development. "Along with chicken wings, pizza is one of America's most popular foods and we believe that PizzaRev has great potential for continued growth and success."
