Chuck E. Cheese's YouTube video, created in the fall to announce the brand's new gluten-free offerings, has been named a finalist in PR News' Social Media Icon Awards. The video, titled "Chuck E. Cheese's does gluten-free the right way with new menu options nationwide," demonstrates the safety procedures involved in baking and serving the items in all stores nationwide.

"By producing a video, we were able to share this procedure with our customers in a way that shows the true integrity of the process. Chuck E. Cheese's is very proud of our gluten-free items, and we're honored to be recognized by PR News as a finalist for our YouTube video," said Joe Elliot, Chuck E. Cheese's vice president of research and development.

In addition to receiving more than 56,000 views on YouTube to date, the video has also been shared with the gluten-free community and Chuck E. Cheese's fans nationwide on social media, blogs and news outlets.

According to PR News' website, "the Social Media Icon Awards winners and honorable mentions took chances, made incredible strides and understand the power of social media in public relations." The winners and honorable mentions of the inaugural program will be announced during PR News' Social Media Icon Awards Luncheon on April 17 from 12 to 2 p.m. at The Grand Hyatt in New York City.
