Berkeley, Calif., is playing host to the latest build-your-own pizza concept with the debut of Build Pizzeria Roma this week.

According to the San Francisco Gate, the concept opened this week and is owned by Lisa Holt and David Shapiro, who have plans to open more.

The story reports that the restaurant boasts 120 seats and diners are greeted by a host stand. The host then leads guests to a "building department," where they can tell employees how to create their pizza, which has a base price of $7.95.

Pizza "foundations" include rosso, bianco or pesto. There is also a variety of mozzarella as well as toppings, some of which cost $1 each. Beer and wine are on tap, and salads and soft-serve ice cream are also available.
