The Pharox range of LED lighting by NTL Lemnis, a JV company of NTL Electronics of India and Lemnis Lighting Netherlands, has been selected as the preferred lighting supplier for Yum Restaurant International. The Pharox range has been found and cleared of all the performance and quality requirements including Tempo 21 test.
As Yum's preferred supplier, NTL Lemnis will be charged with outfitting all new stores and replacing existing systems in older stores, beginning with the KFC brand, followed by Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.
Tempo 21 is the suite of 21 thermal, electrical, mechanical, photometric and optical tests for a finished LED fixture or replacement lamp and provides a comprehensive LED luminaire testing, according to the company.
"This is yet another landmark in our quest to provide reliable energy efficient lighting alternatives to the world, It will not only help the usage of environment friendly, energy efficient lighting but also help in our endeavor to be the preferred choice of high consumption lighting institutions" said Arun Gupta, Global CEO, NTL Lemnis.
While the parent company will be handling all the backhand support in developing these products, the front ending will be done by NTL Lemnis Africa (Pty) Ltd, the African arm of the parent company with headquarters in Centurion, Johannesburg.
