Seattle is the latest city to experience a quick-service employee strike. The citywide protest launched late Wednesday at a Ballard Taco Bell and has expanded throughout today at several dozen Burger King, McDonald's, Subway, Arby's and other national chains across the city.

The effort, which has been dubbed "Good Jobs Seattle," is focused on raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour and the right to organize without retaliation. Seattle's strikes follow a trend of protesting QSR workers in New York City, Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, Milwaukee and Washington D.C.
