Restaurants on the Run (, has completed its merger with Dining Express Delivery (742-Dine), an Oklahoma-based restaurant marketing and food delivery service. This recent transaction marks ROTR's fifth merger in the last 5 years, with grand total of 13 companies overall.

The recent addition of 742-Dine adds more than 50 new restaurant brands to Restaurants on the Run's existing network of more than 1,500. These restaurants include chains such as Rubio's, Claim Jumper, California Pizza Kitchen, El Pollo Loco, Pick Up Stix, Pei Wei Asian Bistro, BJ's Restaurant and more.

"Growth through expansion is certainly top of mind for us as an organization. However, simply acquiring companies is only a small piece of our national expansion plan. We believe that success starts with the ability to integrate companies without losing any of the qualities valued locally. So we look for companies like 742-Dine with a similar philosophy and a make-up of great people and quality restaurant partners to build upon. Once that is in place, we introduce our specially designed platform of people, products and services to make ordering food delivery and catering at the office as easy and consistent as possible," said Mike Turner, director of Marketing at Restaurants on the Run LLC.

ROTR operates in eight of the top 30 U.S. metro areas, delivering meals to more than 10,000 people a day.

We received a gift certificate as a Christmas gift. The purchaser specifically asked if they deliver to our area in Anaheim, they said yes so they purchased the gift certificate. They do not deliver to our area (which is off Lincoln & St. College) & their sister site wouldn't accept the gift certificate. I called twice & 2 separate people told me that they would honor it & to call back. They did not. To top it off the only person that you can speak with is out of the office for a week. We had planned to use the GC for an intimate New Year's dinner. They ruined our gift, ruined our evening & when you call no one gives the same answer to your questions. Horrible customer service & horrible business practices. No on in our family will ever do business with this company again. NOTE: Read the fine print! They charge a $14.99 delivery charge + 5.99% services fee + 15% driver gratuity. Outrageous!
