For the ninth year in a row, Lazy Moon in Orlando, Fla., is celebrating "Arnold Day," in honor of Arnold Schwarzenegger. The centerpiece of the celebration is the concept's "Lazy Moon Arnold Pizza," a meat-filled pie that is 30 inches in diameter, as well as The Arnold Slice, which is 15 inches from tip to crust.
The pie sells for $32, while the slice retails for $6.
Lazy Moon will also mark the day by showing classic Schwarzenegger films, hosting an "Arnold lookalike" contest, trivia and quote contests and more.
The special pizza (and slice) is made with a whole grain mustard base, bratwurst sausage, caramelized onions, beer gravy and mozzarella cheese.
Fifteen percent of pizza slice sales from July 29 through Aug. 3 will benefit Make-A-Wish Central & Northern Florida, and 15 percent of pie sales on Aug. 3 will benefit the charity. Additionally, 100 percent of proceeds from sales of select beers, including Mainly Cigar City's Hell Lager, will benefit the charity.
"While I am a fan, Arnold Day is not just for 'fanboys'," said Ryan Boylston, Arnold Day founder. "It is a celebration of an icon that spans many generations and platforms. It has practically become a holiday here."
Boylston, along with Lazy Moon owners Matt Griffis and Tim Brown, grew up watching Arnold in the 1980s.
"Making this year's event all the more special is our commitment to giving back to our community and the Make-A-Wish Foundation that does much to help make wishes come true for children with life-threatening illnesses," said Boylston. "We hope to continue our support of this cause as we move into our 10th Annual Arnold Day celebration next year."
