Red Book Connect's Schoox, a social e-learning platform for the service industry, announced today that it has delivered more than 500,000 video lectures to restaurant employees.

"In just seven months since Schoox became part of Red Book Connect, an incredible number of restaurant employees have been trained through our state-of-the-art e-learning platform," said Larry Abramson, CEO of Red Book Connect. Restaurant operators are increasingly turning to social learning to better engage employees as compared to traditional manuals or in-person classroom training, Abramson said. Cloud-based training is ideal for training restaurant employees who are sometimes spread across multiple locations and have very little time to attend traditional training.

Schoox allows companies to create their own corporate academy — a feature-rich learning environment tailored to their brand — which can be populated with their own proprietary coursework, or classes developed by leading experts and content providers. Companies can keep their training environment completely private and secure, while at the same time having access to public courses and other content on Schoox. One of the unique characteristics of Schoox is the design of the platform to easily be viewed on mobile devices, allowing employees to complete training from their smartphones and tablets, providing greater flexibility.

New partnerships with three restaurant content providers

Red Book Connect also announced today that it has signed partnerships with three leading content providers focused on the restaurant industry: Asterleaf, Innovalearn and Teaching Wine Online.
