LeanPath Inc., specialists in food waste prevention systems, announced the availability of its next-generation food waste measurement solution — the LeanPath 360 Food Waste Prevention System.
The LeanPath 360 Food Waste Prevention System consists of the LeanPath Tracker 2.0, a fixed-location data collection platform including a scale and camera, and also LeanPath Online, a Web-based analytics service. LeanPath 360 is available with a monthly subscription that includes both hardware and analytics. The company said the camera is an especially useful feature, as it allows chefs to see everything that is headed for the trash or the compost bin.
The LeanPath 360 System also features built-in gamification to engage front-line employees and reinforce the importance of waste measurement in the quest for waste prevention, the company news release said. Similar to a slot machine, the Tracker 2.0 randomly awards instant winners among participating staff.
"This is a major advancement in the battle to prevent food waste," said Andrew Shakman, LeanPath founder and CEO. "This technology makes food waste prevention fast, easy, and consistent for both managers and front-line staff. For the first time, operators can see a remarkably detailed view of food waste and receive notification of problems immediately, allowing them to make the right moves to prevent waste. It also includes many features to engage staff in a fun and supportive way, which is essential to gaining their buy-in and help."
