TakeOut Technologies has partnered with Restaurants on the Run to create Foodgistics, an integrated technology solution for multiunit restaurant operators.
The solution integrates TakeOut Technologies' online ordering capabilities with the call center, dispatch and delivery systems in place at Restaurants on the Run, the parent company of TakeOut Technologies.
"We've seen more clients than ever looking to technology to speed delivery and add value for the customer," said Matt Martha, CEO of TakeOut Technologies, in a news release. "Using the Foodgistics model, we can create a system that maximizes any hardware or software already in place and fill in the gaps where needed."
Martha said restaurants that deliver often don't have the volume to launch an online ordering platform. Meanwhile, every restaurant we talk to can execute in food, but not in delivery."
The solution enables the tracking of a call center or online order from its inception through to its delivery.
"The powerful thing is all ordering data is in one spot," Martha said. "We can create a custom solution that brings in data from e-mail marketing and mobile ordering applications and consolidate everything for extremely powerful data mining. Clients can receive delivery orders and manage distribution without having to staff up in restaurant – it's a great way to manage resources."
Under the Foodgistics model, once all order data is integrated, it is delivered directly into a clients' POS system for execution to the customers. Restaurants also can track customer usage and create marketing programs targeted toward lost guests.
"As restaurants start to see they can add business (through the solution), they'll want to particpate in the program," Marth said. "It works well in markets that have a large corporate presence."
The solution is in use at Pat & Oscar's Restaurants and is in a beta testing phase at El Pollo Loco.
