New site helps restaurateurs with wine dinners, programs

WineMcGee.com today announced its integration with Wine.com and creation of a vivid wine database including flavor profiles, food pairings, professional ratings and consumer reviews on more than 45,000 wines. The wine database extends the wine tasting, personal wine management and social networking technology at WineMcGee.com. The integration is powered by the Wine.com API, which provides access to the extensive catalog of wine content at Wine.com.
Approaching the end of its Beta testing cycle, WineMcGee.com is focused on building tools to allow users to track their wine experiences and learn more about wine. The company is completing development of new software for cellar management, wine country vacation planning, and further integration with local restaurants and retailers.
"Many restaurants host wine tastings, wine dinners or specials to help market and promote their business," said Michael Siegler, founder of WineMcGee. "We offer tools to allow restaurant owners to promote their event on our site and on other event sites on the internet and reach new customers. Our event management tools also allow event hosts to sent out mass e-mails to their client lists, manage RSVPs, and even sell and distribute e-tickets to their events for free."
