Toppers Pizza is opening its first Ohio location in Cincinnati, according to a story in the Cincinnati Business Courier.
The local franchisees are Bob Fullarton and sons Dave and Rick. The Fullartons are looking at the University of Cincinnati and Miami University, with a potential opening date of 2010.
According to the story:
"My brother and I really wanted to get into something together," Dave Fullarton said. "We just felt we had a unique perspective on college life, him being recently graduated from Miami and I having worked as a college recruiter for some companies."Bob Fullarton, an executive vice president at DunnhumbyUSA, is from Appleton, Wis., and it was on a trip to the state that Dave and Rick visited Toppers."We just fell in love with it," Fullarton said. "We did some research on it; we found out just how fanatical the fans become. They get the college market completely. They offer a product that is highly sought-after in that market."
Toppers currently operates 26 locations, mostly in Wisconsin.
