CiCi's Pizza is opening its first buffet location in San Diego, marking the company's official move to the West Coast. The new restaurant, located at 5801 University Ave, will open Aug 10.
 
The San Diego location will be the first CiCi's Pizza for franchise owner Melissa Carter, who became familiar with CiCi's Pizza after living in Houston. When she moved the San Diego area over a year ago, Carter attended a CiCi's Franchise Expo to learn more about the possibility of opening her own CiCi's.
 
The first 100 people in line at the restaurant on opening day will receive a certificate for free pizza for a year.
