The Daily Gazette (Schenectady, N.Y.): Papa John's subsidiary PJ Foods will shut down its plant in Rotterdam, N.Y., in October, and could lay off up to 50 workers. Papa John's officials said the logistics of moving goods out of the facility didn't make sense because there are only a few Papa John's locations nearby. The company plans to move the operation to a location in New Jersey, about 35 miles outside of Manhattan.

Papa John's had planned to use the facility to support operations in the area surrounding the plant, but the planned expansion never took hold.
