KANSAS CITY – The law firm Stueve Siegel Hanson LLP has filed a lawsuit against NPC International, the world's largest Pizza Hut franchisee, over delivery driver pay.
The suit alleges that NPC violates federal wage and hour laws by failing to reimburse its drivers for their automobile and other job-related expenses, resulting in the pizza delivery drivers being paid less than minimum wage. In addition, the lawsuit alleges that NPC failed to reimburse its pizza delivery drivers for other job-related expenses, including the purchase of cell phone services, uniforms, dry cleaning and laundering services, maps, flashlights and batteries.
