CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Compass Group North America and Pizza Fusion have announced a strategic partnership to expand the organic restaurant into schools and universities.
The agreement marks Pizza Fusion's first expansion into the contract foodservice industry, making it one of the first organic, eco-friendly concepts to be featured in Compass Group's portfolio.
"Pizza Fusion provides us with the opportunity to provide our customers with a great tasting, healthy pizza in an earth-friendly environment," said Mike Brandon, director of brand development at Compass Group. "We look forward to bringing this innovative brand to a variety of our contract foodservice clients."
With 21 restaurants open in 14 states and several in development around the country, Pizza Fusion is positioning itself for aggressive national expansion. The chain recently announced a master franchise agreement for the Saudi Arabia market, launching the restaurant chain's global presence.
