The theme of the summit, to be held June 8-9 at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago, is "Evolution of the Modern Pizza Business." The invitation-only event is free to qualified attendees.
Janelle Barlow, an author and expert in the area of getting and keeping customers through branded service, will speak on changes taking place in the industry and how operators can deliver their brand to the ever-changing consumer. Barlow's talk will take place June 8 at noon.
Barlow's books include "A Complaint Is a Gift" and "Branded Customer Service." Her articles have appeared in dozens of international and national publications.
Jamie Strobino, vice president of new concepts with Uno Chicago Grill, will speak about how his company expanded to new heights by challenging the norm. Strobino's talk will take place June 9 at 8 a.m.
Strobino has been a driving force behind his company's fast casual Uno Due Go and quick service Uno Express concepts.
"The pizza business is changing dramatically, and those who don't change with it will find themselves left behind," said Paul Barron, executive vice president of NetWorld Alliance, the organizer of the Pizza Executive Summit. The Pizza Executive Summit will be structured around a series of four collaborative sessions. Each session will last 90 minutes and consist of a specific topic followed by a small group discussion.
