A handful of chains are offering Tax Day deals to relieve any stress related to the infamous deadline. To stretch the dollars you have left, check out:
Papa John's: Papa John's is featuring a Tax Day Special for its loyalty members – an extra-large pizza for $10.40, good today through April 17.
McDonald's: On April 17, units in Utah are offering a buy-one-get-one-for-a-penny deal on Quarter Pounder with Cheese and Big Mac sandwiches.
White Castle: White Castle is offering a 15 percent off Tax Day promotion today through April 17 at midnight. Facebook fans can download a coupon for 15 percent off a purchase. Non-Facebook fans can go to the White Castle website, www.WhiteCastle.com, to download the coupon.
"We wanted to provide our Cravers with a Slider exemption this Tax Day," said Jamie Richardson, vice president at White Castle. "The promotion helps those Cravers who are preparing their taxes at the last minute with some slight stress relief."
Arby's: Arby's Restaurant Group Inc. is giving away $5,000 to the grand prize winner of its Tax Day promotion, and also will reward customers across the country with free value-sized Curly Fries on that day, April 17. For a chance to win $5,000 in tax relief, fans should visit Arby's Facebook page and follow instructions to enter the sweepstakes. They can then print off the special coupon for the free Curly Fries. The coupon is valid at participating Arby's locations during regular business hours on April 17, while supplies last.
Sonic Drive-In: Sonic Drive-In will extend its Happy Hour deal – half-price fountain drinks and slushes – to all day on Tax Day, April 17. Sonic normally offers Happy Hour every day from 2 to 4 p.m.
Cinnabon: Cinnabon is once again offering its Tax Day Bites promotion, two free bites, from 6 to 8 p.m., April 17, at participating locations.
MaggieMoo's: MaggieMoo's will give away a free scoop of its new yogurt from 4 to 7 p.m. on April 17 – "Yobate Day" – at participating locations.
Seattle's Best Coffee: Seattle's Best Coffee, part of Starbucks Corp., is offering free coffee as part of its Great American Coffee Refund. The first 100,000 people to claim their Coffee Refund on Seattle's Best Facebook page will receive a free sample of Seattle's Best Coffee. The deadline for claiming a Coffee Refund is midnight on April 17, or while supplies last.
Seattle's Best Coffee also is joining Jackson Hewitt Tax Service. Taxpayers who visit a participating Jackson Hewitt kiosk located in more than 2,200 Walmart store locations will receive a $3 off coupon for Seattle's Best Coffee, immediately redeemable in the coffee aisle at Walmart. The $3 off coupon is more than a 50 percent deduction off the suggested retail price of Seattle's Best Coffee. In addition, fans of Seattle's Best Coffee on Facebook can print out a coupon for $25 off tax preparation at Jackson Hewitt.
