Mellow Mushroom introduces Thai-inspired menu

Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers has introduced a new limited-time menu, "High on Thai," available through July 14. The menu features the bold, spicy and sweet flavors of Thai cuisine.

"Summer is the perfect time to enjoy both the freshest of ingredients and traditional Thai flavors like ginger, lime, curry, cilantro, basil, coconut and more," said Annica Kreider, vice president of brand development. "We've taken all these things and incorporated them into a Mellow take on Thai with authentic flavors and innovative, house made ingredients such as fresh pickled vegetables and broccoli slaw, accented by signature marinades and flavorful sauces."

There are also three new artisan cocktails in the mix, featuring a fusion of rye whiskey, gin and tequila.

The menu includes:

  • Chicken Curry Pops: Grilled lime-marinated, all-natural chicken skewers on top of Sriracha broccoli slaw, garnished with cilantro leaves. This is served with a curry dipping sauce and seasoned pita crisps.
  • Big Buddha Salad: Shredded romaine lettuce, house-pickled red cabbage and onions, cilantro, tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, sprouts and sliced avocado. This is served with spicy chipotle lime dressing and seasoned pita crisps.
  • Sriracha Veggie Crunch Hoagie: Fresh avocado, sliced grilled portobello, roasted red peppers, house-pickled red onions and Sriracha broccoli slaw on a fresh hoagie roll.
  • Thai Mi Up Hoagie: Cilantro lime glazed all natural steak; shredded lettuce, house-pickled red cabbage, onion and carrots; cucumbers; cilantro leaves and Sriracha-spiked garlic aioli on a fresh hoagie roll.
  • Thai Dye Pizza: Olive oil and garlic base, mozzarella cheese, yellow curry all-natural chicken, onions, roasted red peppers, fresh tomatoes, sliced seeded cucumbers, sliced fresh basil and sweet chili sauce.
  • Siamese Dream Dessert: Smashed Oreo cookies, vanilla bean mousse, bananas and chocolate sauce.

The new beverage menu to complement these offerings includes:

  • Thai One On: A margarita with hints of Thai flavors and featuring 1800 Coconut Tequila, fresh sour and fresh basil, all garnished with a mini coconut.
  • The Siam Cooler: A blend of Hendrick's Gin and St. Germain with fresh ginger, sour mix, basil and Mellow meringue circled by a lemon ginger sugar rim.
  • The Himalayan Happy Ending: Featuring Knob Creek Rye Whiskey, fresh ginger, grapefruit juice and honey served with Mellow's signature crystal fennel rim.

For those stores that don't sell liquor, Mellow Mushroom has an Anchor Summer wheat beer now available.
