Chef Anthony Carron along with partners and co-owners Adam Fleischman and Allen Ravert, announced today that 800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria will open in Santa Monica, Calif., later this year.
"Since we opened our Westwood location just over a year ago, we've been getting requests from all over Los Angeles to open more locations," Carron said. "With offices, families, locals and tourists all within blocks of our location, we expect Santa Monica to be even busier for us than Westwood."
800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria will open in fall 2013, at 120 Wilshire Blvd. in Santa Monica. The location will have about 120 seats in more than 5,000 square feet of space, significantly larger than the original location. 800 Degrees Santa Monica will have a standalone deli, take-out and retail space. In addition to providing take-out and to-go orders, the standalone deli space will sell branded 800 Degrees products such as olive oil and peppers, alongside dry pasta, prosciuttos, cheeses, vinegars and other classic Italian groceries.
The deli at 800 Degrees Santa Monica will also sell classic hot and cold Italian sandwiches on pizza dough bread baked in the wood-burning oven.
The Santa Monica announcement follows the announcement of an 800 Degrees location in the Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX and the expansion of its original Westwood location to accommodate a larger to-go and takeaway business.
800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria serves customized personal pizzas baked in about 1 minute in an 800-degree proprietary wood-burning oven.
