ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Domino's Pizza recently presented Don Meij and Grant Bourke, its Master Franchisees in Australia and New Zealand, with its Chairman's Circle Award.
According to a news release, the award honors franchisees' longevity, business growth and leadership.
"Don Meij and Grant Bourke are truly exceptional Domino's franchisees," said Domino's Chairman and CEO David Brandon. "Together, this team took over a market that was not operating at its peak potential and made Domino's the number-one pizza delivery company in Australia."
The merger of Meij's 17 stores and Bourke's eight stores into Domino's Pizza Australia helped reinvigorate Domino's growth Down Under. The pair currently oversees the operation of 282 Domino's stores in Australia and 12 in New Zealand.
"If you do what you love and strive to be the best at it, then who knows where you're going to end up?" said Meij. "Both Grant and I love the pizza business and bring that love to every aspect of our business."
