Bermuda pizza operator facing sanctions for immigrant delivery drivers

Oct. 10, 2006
The Royal Gazette: A Bermuda pizza chain operator was warned he has violated the country's strict immigration rules by using foreign delivery drivers.

Marico Thomas, managing director of Thomas United Company, which owns Four Star Pizza, said not being able to use immigrant drivers would cripple his business and lead to at least 50 people losing their jobs. Thomas said Bermudians look down on delivery drivers and don't want the work, despite the high pay.
