Beverly Hills pizzeria expands SoCal footprint

April 4, 2013

On April 5 and 6, Beverly Hills, Calif.'s Mulberry Street Pizzeria will celebrate the grand opening of its fifth location in Thousand Oaks, Calif., with food, T-shirt and cookbook giveaways and more.

Also, throughout the month of April, guests will receive a free house salad with the purchase and delivery of any full pizza.

Mulberry Street was first opened in 1991, by Richie Palmer, who based the concept on his original New-York-style pizza recipe.

With a heavy fan following among local residents, tourists and Hollywood actors, Palmer expanded his operation to include three additional locations — in Encino, Sherman Oaks and a second store in Beverly Hills.

Palmer also began retailing his sauces online and throughout the area, including the Mulberry Street Pizza Marinara, Vinaigrette, Hot Oil and BBQ Sauce.

The Thousand Oaks pizzeria will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
