Boston's Pizza offers heart-shaped pizzas for charity

Feb. 6, 2014

Boston's Pizza locations across Canada will celebrate Valentine's Day with a heart-shaped pizza. One-dollar from each heart-shaped pizza sale on Feb. 14 will go toward the Boston Pizza Foundation Future Prospects, which is committed to helping kids through mentoring programs, according to a news release.

"This is Boston Pizza's 22nd year of celebrating Valentine's Day with heart-shaped pizzas — a delicious way for families, friends and sweethearts to celebrate their love while supporting a great cause at the same time," said Steve Silverstone, EVP of Marketing, Boston Pizza International. "We're excited to serve tens of thousands of heart-shaped pizzas this year in support of our newly created BPF Future Prospects initiative."

Heart-shaped pizzas are available in individual, small and medium sizes, on classic or multigrain dough. They can be ordered for dine-in, take-out or delivery in any of Boston Pizza's gourmet and create-your-own pizza varieties. Boston Pizza expects to serve more than 65,000 heart-shaped pizzas across Canada on Valentine's Day this year.

From now until Feb. 14, guests can also purchase a Boston Pizza scratch card for a minimum donation of $2 where guests will have a 1-in-4 chance of winning a free Panookie, a free Starbucks coffee or $2 off a dessert. All proceeds raised will go to support BPF Future Prospects.
