Brick-oven pizzeria debuts in Boston

Beantown Pizza, a pizzeria specializing in brick oven pizzas and other dinner entrees, has marked its grand opening near Boston University. The pizzeria offers carryout and free delivery and is open from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Delivery covers Boston proper, Brighton, Allston, Beantown and the Boston University areas.

Specialty pizzas created at Beantown Pizza include: "The Whitey," which features no sauce, garlic and cheese; "The Soprano," with fire-roasted red peppers, artichokes and prosciutto; and the "Beantown Special," with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions and peppers.

Other menu choices include subs, soup, salads, pasta, specialty burgers, spicy chicken wings, jalapeno poppers and kabobs.

Beantown customers can place orders for future pickup or delivery, and with account registration can save their record of past orders for a quick re-order another day. Frequent specials and coupons are also offered to registered customers at BeantownPizza.com.
