Burke introduces sliced, fully cooked meatball topping

NEVADA, Iowa — Burke Corp. has introduced a fully cooked, pre-sliced meatball topping.

According to a news release, this Italian staple is an authentic-tasting, convenient option featuring a flavorful blend of beef, authentic Italian seasonings and Romano cheese, formed into consistently uniform meatballs. Marketed under the Premoro name, the meatballs are cooked to perfection, sliced a quarter inch thick and frozen.

"We designed this product with food professionals in mind," said Liz Hertz, Burke marketing manager. "Fully cooked sliced meatballs offer labor-savings and consistency in the back of the house, while retaining the traditional Italian flavor and meaty appearance that are so important to consumers. They're a perfect alternative for pizza and meatball subs, as well as spaghetti and pasta dishes."

Premoro sliced meatballs can be warmed as needed in the oven, adding to their versatility in the kitchen.
